176429-425x306-Thanksgiving-letter-newEach December Barrington Giving Day invites families on the Free and Reduced lunch program residing in Barrington 220 School District to a Giving Day. Families receive food, warm coats, hats, gloves, snow pants, boots, books, blankets, and gifts. Members of Barrington churches, schools, businesses and civic organizations have always been generous in their support of this day.  Giving Day 2014 helped over 750 families, this included 2,500 children, and senior citizens. These families live in our school district. They are our friends and neighbors. Each year the need is greater.

Financial gifts are used to purchase food, and gift food cards, children’s coats, hat, gloves, snow pants, boots and other much needed items.

  • A cash donation of $100 provides a family with a box or food
  • A $250 donation sponsors a family of 4 providing them with food and other much needed items

 Your donation what every the amount, is much needed and greatly appreciated.

 Boxes for donations of new and gently used winter coats, snow pants, boots, books, and toys will be at various businesses, all schools and churches in Barrington on November 2ndth through December 2nd.

Volunteers are needed for various tasks November and December.  If you or members’ of your organization would like to volunteer to help in this worthy cause, please contact Patricia Karon at [email protected]
