Once again, 2016 holiday home decor in Tower Lakes continues to impress!
This year, the Events Committee identified categories for judging and offered the winners in each category, $50 gift cards to ZaZa’s for extra incentive!
After a few hours of admiring, we are pleased to announce the winners in each category:
Most Creative Category
The winner is: 100 Oxford, the home of Kevin & Elizabeth Middleditch. You might need to walk a few steps up the driveway, but the fun and perplexed Santa on the step ladder trying to get the rest of the lights and the star on the Christmas tree will reward your efforts and assuredly bring you a smile!
Honorable Mention goes to 710 North Lake Shore Dr., the Rudden home: the backyard vignette of reindeer and large Christmas lights is very special indeed.
Traditional Category
The winner is: 212 Terrace, the home of Lee & Jack Johnson. Simple wall washing with wreath and some light displays is an elegant overall look to be appreciated.
Honorable Mention in this category goes to 25430 Wren Dr., one of our newer neighbors, the Clark home: the large tree trunks wrapped in white lights topped by red lit bows and the arrangement of other items and lights just works beautifully.
Child’s Fantasy Category
The winner is: 229 Tomahawk, the Vander Meulen home. Need to see this one close up and pay attention to the detail, but the “CUBS win the World Series” theme comes together well – and that is EVERY child’s fantasy come true around here, even those children that are 108 years old!
Honorable Mention is this category goes to 111 Terrace Dr., Andrew & Courtney Young for their Candy Cane Land red & white decor.
