“MackeyFest” has become a tradition each New Year’s Day in Tower Lakes. Every year, for the past several, a neighborhood hockey tournament has been held on the ice behind Dave and Carol Mackey’s home, featuring 3-on-3 pond hockey for neighborhood teams.
1st Place – Connor Mackey, Owen Reith, John Magro and Kyle Osterhues
The neighborhood rivalry is strong and the games are always lively, drawing crows of cheering fans. This year’s winners of the “MackeyFest” Championship Cup are: Connor Mackey, Owen Reith, John Magro and Kyle Osterhues followed by runners up and winners of the Golden Shovel: Patrick Hannagan, David Mitchell, Steven Burgoon and Steve Martins.
