Background

The Events Committee currently is responsible for the acquisition and care of equipment owned by the TLIA and used in support of TLIA sponsored events. Our ownership of highly utilized pieces of equipment such as tents, tables and chairs reduces the overall event costs to the TLIA by eliminating frequent rental fees.

 

Since this equipment is owned by the Association membership, certain equipment is made available for rent to its members at a rate that is targeted to be below that of a commercial rental. The fees collected will be placed into the Event Committee’s general fund to offset the eventual replacement cost of these items in the future.

 

The only tent for rental currently is the yellow/white tent that is usually set up on the 4th of July with the tables and chairs for eating. Excluded is the largest tent (white) currently used for food serving on the 4th of July and the Chili Cook-off events. This tent is the most expensive to replace and requires a sizable crew to safely set up and correctly take down and store.

  • 16 Plastic tables
  • 50 plastic chairs

 

Qualification, Rental Agreement, Deposit & Fees

The equipment must be returned in clean and undamaged condition. A refundable deposit of $100 is required. The equipment is only for set up and use within Tower Lakes. Equipment is available to TLIA members in good standing only. A seven-day advance reservation request is preferred. Equipment must be signed in and out by the renter and a TLIA representative.

 

Bob Nash is currently assigned to manage the schedule of requests, collection of fees and to make arrangements for the TLIA member to pick up and return the equipment in a timely manner. TLIA does not have access to the police garage without asking the dispatcher to have someone available to open the door so pick up and return is by appointment only.
